What steps need to be taken in order to reduce crime?
In this era of globalization, crime has been drastically increase. Crime is a formed of violence that has been worried by all people that affects society social peace life. Example of crime that has been really worried are kidnapping, hijacking, drug trafficking have become more serious crimes to tackle with. The reasons for the crime keep increasing in this decade because of poor parenting skill in develop their children, peer influence where the youth in this year are really easy to get influence by environment to commit crime, then is lack of education which can be see most of prisoner that been caught could not read or write above elementary school level, and tv violence.
In order to curb this thing from continue be a poison in our society, several way must be take by us in order to reduce crime. One of the way that can be suggest to reduce crime is increase the number of jobs and the wages paid. This because most of people commit to crime is because, they don’t have money to manage their life properly plus cost of living has been increasing in this days. Lacking of money have trigger them to do crime like robbery. To ensure this plan success, government must take part in this. They should provide more job to our people along they mission to have country with a lot of people. This is proven where most of criminals do crime like robbery to pension they daily live. So government must see trough this, and take action.
The solutions to many of the problems that we face in, are in our personal lives. Where the crime is usually start from the criminal family itself. In order to reduce crime, family must responsible in developing they family members. This because family is the one most closest to every person in this world. This can be done where parents should give their love to their son without dividing their love. Parents should give full attention to their son every time. Parents also responsible in survey their’s son action so that they not trap with bad influence in their activity and social. Example is parents should always ask their son where they going, with who they hang out, and they also should limit their son freedom. So, as family we should take care each other.
Besides that, it is common that criminals are from the youth. For that, to reduce crime, people must find a positive way for youth to spend they daily life. Example is spend their spare time, through organized recreation, tutoring programs, part-time work, and volunteer opportunities. This because a positive way of life can lead youth to be a better person and develop better attitude. For this, family, neighborhood, and teacher must together work hard to make sure the youth are having a positive of life. There is no way this youngster can develop good attitude by themselves.
The way to reduce crime also is, provide a suitable environment to our daily day life. This is because, Environmental factors such as family structure and poverty are also associated with potential criminal behavior. The Federal Bureau of Investigation Report (1993) noted that one violent crime (e.g. aggravated assault, murder) was committed every 22 seconds in 1992, and 15% of those arrested for such crimes were under the age of 18. Juvenile delinquency is becoming more common. The age at which these young kids are committing crimes is getting younger. The crimes they are committing are getting more serious. They are not only involved in vandalism and shop lifting like many people might assume, but they are involved in life threatening crimes such as assault and murder. According to the FBI, the number of arrests for youth 12 and younger, in 1996, was 250,000. For youth age 13 and 14, the number was 671,900; and youth age 15 and older accounted for 1,929,800 arrests.
One of the reason why crime keep increasing is lack of sensitivity of life. Sometimes, most people are not aware about this. By this, we can open their eyes by having seminar about crime. In the seminar people should be aware of what can causing people to commit crime and the consequence that they may get if they involve in crime. An example is a seminar about violation among teenagers. The people that’s responsible to doing this seminar is government and private agency such as police department, Agensi Dadah Kebangsaan (ADK), and many more agency that related to crime. The of the seminar is must involved the youth, because they major crime were commit by them. Communicating with them, spending time with them and knowing what they are involved in is part of the process.
As conclusion, based on the reason above, its not a waste to follow it because its affective to reduce crime. But to make it success, we must active and hardworking. Its not only not for sake of our society, but also for sake of our country future.
