I have visited many places locally and overseas.Among all these place including cities,hill and sea resorts,I still find Port Dickson most fascinating.I visited this place during my last school holiday and it is truely a place I will never forget.
Port Dickson is also one of the major attraction in Negeri Sembilan with its beautifuland sandy white beaches and blue sea of the Straint of Malacca .The lagoon near Tanjung Tuan with casuarina trees makes it a perfect spot for picnics.Hotels,resorts,restaurant and reacreation park stretch along the coast of Port Dickson,providing adequate facilities for tourists.
Port Dickson and Pulau Arang were founded by Sir John Frederick in 1880.Port Dickson was a highly potential area to be made a harbour,and was later developed into a busy trading centre.Railways were built for more eifficient transportation.Even though there have been vast development in Port Dickson,its beautiful beaches are still well conserved
Bayu Beach Resort is located along a beautiful stretch of beach,seven kilometers from Port Dickson Town.Its is the best beach in Port Dickson and most rooms face the sea.Popular these days among the locals.and tourists are its silvery sandy beaches,exquisite landscape and elegently designed hotel and apartments,which combine to make the resort a natural beauty and a creativity of excellence.Every apartment is equipped with amenities provided on par with a four-star beach resort.
Another resort at Tanjung Tuan,along the coast of Port Dickson,is reputed for its lighthouse which was built by the British in 1860.On a bright and clear day,one can see Sumatra Island across the Straints of Malacca.To reach the peak of the lighthouse,one has to climb seventy-two flights of steps.Tanjung Tuan is also a strategic location for bird watchers to observe migratory bird during the months of September,October,March and April.Pasir Panjang Recreational Forest is south of Port Dickson.It was opened to the public in 1980.This is also one of the favorite sports for bird watchers.It is along the coastal area with a panoramic view.
With these exciting resorts,it is no wonder Port Dickson has become my favourite place to go for a holiday.I can get everything I want there.I intend to make many more visits to this holiday resort.
