OPINION ESSAY : IS ROMANTIC LOVE A GOOD BASIS FOR MARRIAGE? DISCUSS
Nowadays, teenager always talk about love is important in a marriage but they were mistaken. In my opinion, romantic love is not the basis for marriage. In these days, the modern days, everything needs money. Even you go to public toilet, you have to pay at least 30 sen. If you only marry for love and not think about anything else, sooner or later, your marriage will go to an end. In a marriage, there are too many things to think. The home supplies, bills, a house, and all basic needed in life. It was shared by two persons. It’s not including yet if you have children. What about the school fees, school uniform, stationeries and many other things?
Believe it or not, most of the divorce was cause of financial problems. In addition, there are a lot of teenager getting married in earlier age without a stable life; without job, a house to live in, stable economy and etcetera. Do you think they can survive in this challenging world easier? NO! And I’m blabbering because there are many prove. Even you had realized this problems right? But without a pure romantic love, a relationship of husband and wife wouldn’t occur. Love is needed but not the only basis. It’s the first requisite but there others.
Health is also a very important requisite for a happy marriage. Before getting married, there are medical checkups to assure there would be no problem in the future. It’s also to ensure that the future generation of the family will be healthy and carry a good gene in the body. No one has morale to marry someone who cannot bring to his partner a good health and child. It’s not cruel since this is the basis needed for a person not only in marriage but in life also.
As I said before, a stable job and economy also important so in other word, education or knowledge. Person that is successful in life is very important to keep the family not only safe in economy but also will bring the good gene. People called, ‘Like father, like son.’ right? Person with a high education will be more rational and professional that the others. This is not discrimination but a motivation. Knowledge is very important in a person life in order to survive in the world. The man would contribute most responsibility in the house.
Lastly, a parent’s bless. There are too many eloping nowadays and it never last. So parent’s bless is important to avoid any bad things to happen.
