How I spent my weekend
In my state, weekend fall on Saturday and Sunday. After five days of homework, assignment and extra curricular, we are allowed to take some time off to relax and unwind during the weekends. I always look forward to my weekends when I can do the things I like to do.
I wake up late during the weekends. I spend a few minutes lazing in bed as there is no need to scramble for the only bathroom . as the smell of mother ‘s nasi lemak wafts into my room, I hop out bed. After a leisurely breakfast, I would spend some time poring over the newspaper. By 11 o’clock, I would normally be on my way to meet my friends. I usually do not have lunch at home on Fridays as I go out with my friends.
My friends and I will normally go out and paint the town red. After hanging out at an internet café and doing some window shopping, we will have lunch at one of the many fast food outlets. Going for a movie is next on our itinerary. By the time the movie ends, it would be late in the evening. After finalizing our plan for the following Friday, we would part company and go in different directions. The rest of Friday is spent watching television and catching up with my reading.
Saturdays are always a family affair. Dad would take some time off from his busy schedule just to spend quality time with us. Dad would treat us to lunch at one of the leading hotels or restaurant. The rest of the afternoon would be spent watching a video or a television programme. In the evening, my younger brother and I join my father for a game of tennis while mum and the girls do a little bit of gardening. On our way home, we would buy dinner as Saturday is one day in the week when mum gets respite from cooking.
I go to bed rather early on Saturday after preparing for the lesson the next day. As soon as another week starts, I start looking forward to the following weekend.
