TITLE: THE FIRST TIME I MET SOMEONE WHO BECAME IMPORTANT TO ME
I was a single child in my family. And now, I’m an orphan. My mother passed away 3 years ago. Even though my father still alive and still running away, if I meet him, I’ll beat him until he’s one big bruise. After Mom died, I’ve gone through many hardship. My father had left a big debt from a shark loan and makes me as the cosigner without telling me and now I was living, also, running away from the shark loan and have no house. I’m a homeless person. To me, I don’t need a family. I’ve always living by self till now. But everything change since that day...
One day after hard day of work to earn some money, I went to my friend’s net cafe to have a shower. When I was showering, I didn’t realize that there were the gangster from shark loan searching for me. Fortunately, my friend help me by shouting “ They’re here. Hurry up and run away.” Without wasting more time, I put my clothes on and ran as fast as I can. It’s not too long until they could catch up with me. I ran and ran an then I entered the half completed building. Oh no! I was stuck. The gangsters smiled at me from behind. “ Where are you away now huh?! You have to pay because you’re the cosigner remember. If you can’t give us the 1 million then we have another way to solve your debt!!!” NO! I know where they would take me if I went with them. Is there no other choice? Between be a prostitute and paid the debt or die?
I smiled and then, “I would rather die you bastards!!” I climb up the iron rod behind me and tried to jump but one of the men had caught my foot. “Let me go! Let me go! LET ME GO!” I shouted as loud as I can. I don’t want to follow what they want. When I was in a high pinch, I saw a helicopter flew up above us. And then, a middle age man came out from the helicopter and walked to us. “Young lady, you climb up there just to get the 50 sen?” he said. I was confused and looked down. Oh! There’s a 50 sen at the other end?
“What are doing old man?! Hurry up and get out of here! We got some business with this midget.” The gangsters shout angrily to him.
“If you want the money, I’ll pay for her. Here the check.” He gave them a 1 million worth check and then they leave without saying anything. I jumped down and went to him.
“What do you want? I don’t remember asking you to pay my debt?”
“Of course I didn’t pay them for you. It’s mean I’ve bought you. From now on, you’ll be my wife.” He explained calmly.
What the heck? I thought. Without wasting our time, he brought us to his office to discuss the matter. After the explanation, I agreed to be his wife. It’s just that he needed me as his wife for a month and my debt was settled. He said the doctor told him that he only had a month to live because of the brain tumor he suffered. After signed the contract and wedding certificate, I was officially became his wife. For a while I thought it’s not a bad idea. I didn’t have nowhere to live so it’s good. A month with him had taught me the meaning of family. Family is a very important treasure in the world. He taught me many things that I would treasure for the rest of my life.
After a month, he really did die. Well, I’ve been prepared for this. All this time, he’s not only my husband but also my family. He’s a very important and meaningful person to me. May you rest in peace.
